Betzdorf, 9 December 2025. The Liechtenstein-based telecommunications and cloud provider SupraNet AG has equipped a data centre with new cold aisle containment systems and server cabinets from SCHÄFER IT-Systems. The aim of the project was to provide additional colocation capacity in an energy-efficient, clearly structured and future-proof manner. The implementation, from the on-site inspection through to the error-free commissioning, was carried out on schedule by our partner RUL AG.
SupraNet AG offers companies in Liechtenstein and the surrounding region high-performance Internet, telephony, colocation and cloud services. With the growing demand for colocation resources, the requirements for a scalable and future-proof IT infrastructure. SupraNet AG opted for cold aisle containment from SCHÄFER IT-Systems.
The project focused on the construction of two new cold aisle containment systems each with ten server cabinets. The solution should integrate seamlessly into the existing environment, enable a clean separation of cold and warm air, and support future expansions. All this without any lengthy interruptions to ongoing operations.
The cold aisle containment systems, jointly calculated and installed by SCHÄFER IT-Systems and RUL AG, comprise roof and door modules that clearly define the cold area and separate it from the warm area. This optimises the air flow, directs cold air specifically to the IT systems and reduces uncontrolled mixing with warm air. This creates the conditions for energy-efficient cooling operation, stable temperature control and better utilisation of existing cooling capacities.
The structured rack series creates a clearly organised and expandable infrastructure. Additional server cabinets and IT systems can be integrated into the cold aisle as required without changing the basic airflow concept. For SupraNet AG, this means greater planning security with regard to future expansion stages and customer requirements in the colocation sector.
“From the outset, our collaboration with SCHÄFER IT-Systems was characterised by transparent communication and a swift quotation process, even when last-minute adjustments were required,” explains Marius Brosi, Managing Director at SupraNet AG. “The flawless assembly, smooth installation of the cabinets and punctual completion on the desired date confirmed our decision to choose this partner.”
The new cold aisle containment systems strengthen SupraNet AG’s position as a colocation and cloud provider. Business customers benefit from a modern, energy-efficient data centre infrastructure designed for high availability and future growth.
