New cooling products and edge rack solutions

Neunkirchen, 11th January 2022.On 11th and 12th December 2022, SCHÄFER IT-Systems, the specialist for data centre infrastructure, data centre cooling solutions and network technology, will be presenting the latest developments in its iQdata portfolio at the Data Centre World in Frankfurt in hall 3.1, stand D15. The main focus will be on systems in field of energy efficient IT cooling and edge computing. The aim of the trade fair attendance is to show visitors the advantages of green IT, to present IT systems without refrigerants and to establish contacts with potential national and international cooperation and business partners. 

In their iQdata Cooling segment, SCHÄFER IT-Systems will be presenting a series of new developments in cooling systems, such as the space-saving In-RackCooler, the SideCooler, the Slot-InCooler and the WallCooler. These coolers have at least one feature in common: their cooling medium is pure water, rather than an environmentally damaging refrigerant. Depending on design and type, these cooling products are suitable for decentralised, centralised or high-density IT architectures. The Economy series is aimed at the broad market of decentralised IT locations, while the high-performance Enterprise series is used especially in colocation and data centres. The HPC series is intended for high-performance computing.  

Increasing digitalisation and the rise in data streams have seen decentralised systems at the "edge", the outer edge of the infrastructure, gaining importance when data is processed directly at its point of origin. Compact and robust IT cabinets are ideal edge computing solutions. For this reason, SCHÄFER IT-Systems has extended its iQdata Rack portfolio with two scalable innovations: Edge Rack and Edge Row. A prominent example of this is the so-called iQdata branch cabinet – a decentralised complete solution which can be adapted to specific applications. The designated cabinet systems can be stocked in the roll-out at the Betzdorf plant and delivered "just-in-time" to decentralised locations within the framework of predefined logistics processes.
